Shikha is a PhD candidate at University of Twente, The Netherlands. She grew up in southern India.

She started her education with a diploma in automobile engineering, then she completed her Bachelor's in the same field from India. She then moved to Germany for pursuing her masters in automotive production engineering. She has a strong technical and engineering background.

Shikha began her career in the automotive industry as a project purchaser. Her interactions with suppliers as a purchaser piqued her interest in researching supplier relationships and building a reliable supply chain. She is currently working as supply chain risk management professional at Schaeffler.

She is also actively involved in multiple voluntary community services. He was part of the National Service Scheme in India providing social services, organising blood donations, helping in education for children, supporting village intensive development work. She has also trained 3 years in the National Cadet Corps (youth wing of Indian armed forces) under the Ministry of Defense in Indiac, where she led a contingent of 54 cadets, trained in camps and various military activities. She is currently serving as voluntary community support officer (Sicherheitswacht) for the Bavarian Police in Germany.
